Storyline, Bootcamp, and Canvas LMS

May 31, 2016

Hello!

I am working with some Storyline files that will be imported into Canvas LMS. The original files were created by a vendor, which has already been invoiced so I cannot go back to them to make any adjustments to the files. We have had to make a couple small changes to the files, such as adjusting text, and re-publish them. The problem is the original files worked well with our Canvas LMS - I could upload as SCORM graded assignments and Canvas would track if they completed the requirements (that they viewed all slides), which would then open up the next section of the course. After we made changes and imported the new files into Canvas, I can still view the lesson with no issues but it is no longer tracking and communicating to Canvas (original files still work perfectly). I have checked with the vendor on the publishing settings and have made sure that the settings match, so I am wondering if running Storyline on Bootcamp may be an issue. Have there been any known issues with publishing Storyline files while running Bootcamp? I am running out of ideas on how to fix this! Thank you in advance to anyone that can share advice!

Just tried on SCORM cloud - this is what I see after completing:

I have not used this before, and I am new to Storyline, so I assume this means it tracked since it says "Complete."

All files were uploaded into Canvas in the same way - the original files sent by the vendor worked perfectly in Canvas. But once I make a change in the .story file and republish, the new import won't track. If you have any thoughts, I am driving myself bonkers trying to get this to work.
