Now If I do the same, the next Ctrl+V actually duplicate again the textbox.
It has worked that way as far back as I can remember, but I have to be honest I rarely duplicate an object only slides so it may have been different for objects.
I mean duplicate using the short cut "Ctrl + moving the object with the mouse". It has the effect to duplicate an object, like a textbox. But before, the next Ctrl+V didn't take in consideration this "Ctrl + move".
At that time, I coule past in the textbox straight the previous copied text with Ctrl+C. Now it duplicate again the textbox.

Duplicate has always used the cut and paste buffer(Powerpoint does not). It is the same if you duplicate a slide.
