Top of the day all. Please i have been tryinh to publish my module which is filled with questions banks as i want my students to have access to questions for revision.

Planning to add 100 question banks with a minimum of 5000 questions, currently on 1600 questions and i was trying to preview my work by publishing it but i noticed it taking for ever to publish.

It took me three days to publish 400 of the 1600 and still publishing which makes my system not responding to any other thing.

Note: My system is i5 with 8gb RAM.

Hi Michael,

Sounds like you're building a big course! I haven't heard of an upper limit on the number of slides, questions, or even file size but the larger you go the more taxing it may be on your system for editing and publishing. What's the overall file size?

Also, what version of Storyline are you using? I'd recommend first checking that you're on the latest version and update (You can find them all listed on the individual support pages here). You'll also find the minimum system requirements for each version linked there as well.

Next I'd check that you're following along with the best practices here to prevent any odd behavior in your files. Working locally and closing Storyline each night are two recommendations that will help prevent any slow down or issues with your files.

If you're still running into slow publishing after checking into the above, I'd want you to work one on one with our Support Engineers. They'll be able to dig in a bit deeper to your set up and any specifics that could be attributed to this. They're around 24/7 so reach out to them using this form.
