Just a heads up on Replay. It crashes my PC regularly, Something I work around by not having other applications open or saving my work before using it.
Today I saved my storyline 3 course, then clicked on Replay and the PC shutdown.
Storyline 3 is fairly resilient to freezes and crashes, however today, even after saving the Storyline 3 project, it became corrupted. It won't open and I cannot import it into a new project.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions short of re-doing 3 days of work?
I haven't heard of Replay crashing Storyline, but it definitely sounds odd and a bit buggy. But if any Articulate tools are freezing/crashing our Support Team is always able to help take a look at some system logs to figure out what's causing the crash.
If your Storyline course crashed and you are seeing that corruption message, you may be able to find a copy of the file in your temp folder.
Here's how to check:
1. Open this folder in Windows Explorer:
%appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
2. Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
3. Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.

4. Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
Also, keep these best practices in mind to prevent future corruption.
Never found the file path. So I am rebuilding the work I lost and I have uninstalled Replay to avoid this scenario in the future.
