Storyline Crashes Nov 18, 2015 By Steven Shields When I am on a slide and attempting to insert audio, as I hit the record button the countdown begins. Once the countdown says the recording will begin in one second it crashes the storyline.

Have you confirmed that you're working on local project files and using the latest update of Storyline 2 update 7? You may also want to review the information here in regards to if recording audio isn't working and I'd suggest that if you're seeing this on all files, to go through the repair. If the behavior persists, you'll want to pull the crash logs as described here so that our Support engineers can take a look.
