Storyline Error:

Mar 07, 2016

Hi,

I have one user who uses Storyline Articulate 1.

She cannot publish to Word 2010 and gets this error

"The folder 'xxxx' is read-only, being used by another process or you do not have the proper security permission to access this resource"

It's an issue that keeps reoccurring.

In the past, I have just deleted the Articulate folder under Application data and rebooted the PC. The user was then able to publish. Now, it no longer fixes the issue. We have updated to latest Storyline version. The issue seems to follow the user if they use another PC with it installed (Application data is stored in a central location rather than locally)

Using Win7, Office 2010

Any ideas on a permanent fix for this?

Hi Daniel!

I have seen another forum thread similar to this as you can see here. I'd go through the repair steps first before working with your IT on your Office Installation.

I am concerned about your mention of the folder following the user. If you work from the local drive, do you experience the same issue or can you publish as expected to Word?
