Storyline Error - will not preview

Slide 2 in the attached file is a slide I added to my presentation and all of a sudden Storyline 360 will not preview. Keep getting an error but no other information as to why. Copied the slide to the attached presentation and the error followed. Slide 1 works fine, but fails if I try to preview slide 2 or the entire scene or project. The suspect slide was omitted from my original file and seems to be working ok now with the suspect slide deleted.
Why is this happening? Not doing anything fancy in here. It would be very beneficial if the error message provided more information.

Hey Bill
Looks like the slide had become corrupt. Sometimes this is caused by working on and external or shared drive, but there could be many reasons. Copying the content over to a new slide seemed to fix this issue.
Here is a repaired version of your test.
Could this be caused by too many unused triggers?
If so, what is the limit on the number of allowable triggers?
Thanks
Bill
Hi Ron. I am working from my local C: drive. Thanks for the effort!
However, there are no layers or triggers in your repaired version. I am hoping to get to the root cause of why this happens so we don't do something to cause it again.
It get pretty aggravating when trying to make a deadline if you have to keep reproducing slides.
Thanks again for your help!
Bill
You are correct - somehow, I left those layers. Adding them back does bring back the error. I will do a little more checking. Have you considered submitting a case - https://articulate.com/support/contact/case
Typically I would not think the unused triggers would impact this that much, but after deleting all of the unused triggers, the file seems to play.

Hi, I am new to Storyline, taking a trial, and cannot preview at all. I have created 3 slides and when I click on preview I get the grey curser. All the work is saved in c drive. Please advise how this can be fixed. Thank you.
Hello Yvonne, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are currently experiencing in your project file.
I'm curious if the issue happens in any course you are working on or just this particular one?
