Storyline hanging when trying to preview

I have been having issues with a few Storyline projects I am working on. Essentially what happens is eventually I am unable to preview or publish my Storyline project. It will hang forever when I try to preview it. The progress bar advances to around 90% and then will go no further. Then if I try to publish the file, it will go all the way through the progress bar but instead of giving me the options to open the production or ZIP it, it just acts as though I never pressed the publish button at all. 

The only resolution I have come across is to copy all of the slides and then paste them into a new project. This works for awhile and then it becomes corrupt again and will not allow me to preview or publish. 

This is absolutely mind crushingly painful.
