Storyline not reading parameters of quizmaker quiz

Jul 18, 2013

Hi:

I have built a quizmaker quiz and imported it into storyline.  Attached you will see that I did not check, view correct/incorrect, yet as published in storyline, the quiz shows incorrect and correct and DOES NOT when just as a quizmaker quiz not in storyline.  It seems the functionality and programming is lost in storyline.  The finish button is not available in storyline and I cannot get the quiz to act properly.  I want the leaner to be able to re-take the quiz 3 times in efforts to pass.  Once they pass, they will be able to access their end of course certificate.  if they fail on the third attempt, they SHOULD not be able to access their certificate.  In quiz properties i have noted the 3 attempts at the quiz.  There is also not a print results button in storyline, which is a feature I wanted the users to have as an option. Please let me know if there is a way for me to get this quiz to act as I intend it to act.  Thanks, Kathleen

Thank You Ashley, however, I still cannot get the quiz to only allow three attempts for passing.  I set those parameters in Quizmaker...however, in Storyline those parameters are not sticking.  So far, in Storyline, it allows the user to 'retry quiz' unlimited times.  I have tied the successful completion of the quiz to the successful completion certificate.  The terms my organization wants is to allow the user 3 attempts and then if they dont pass on the third attempt, they fail and dont get the certificate.  How do I do this in Storyline?  I have the correct parameters set for the three attempts in Quizmaker.

Hi Kathleen,

Were you able to update the settings within Storyline itself? Based on the previous tutorial, those don't import from Quizmaker into Storyline and have to be reset. If you've done so, and that's still not working you can attach your file here for me to take a look at or if you'd prefer not to put it in the forums you can submit a Support Case.
