Storyline : Note and accents
Jul 10, 2012
When I preview my French project, in the note tab, when the last character of a world is à or é, the space between this word and the next word is hidden, like I'd never put a space.
I tested a lot of character, and this problem shows after all these characters:
à é è ê î ô ù û ç µ ¤ £ € § « »
I tried three polices, same problem.
If I put a double space after these words, it publishes one space. So I could fix it like this. But is there a better way to fix it?

Hi Aurelie,
If you're using a unicode font and still getting these results, would you mind submitting a case to our support team? Please include the .story file in your case submission, and a link to this url. Thanks!
I tryed Calibri, Arial, and Arial Unicode MS : same bug.
I'll submit a case to the support team.
Hi Aurelie,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Looks like Sid has taken your case and is waiting to hear back from QA.
Hello, I encountered the same issue importing a Powerpoint file (in Storyline 360). In my opinion, the simplest and safest option is to search and replace those special characters in Powerpoint before importing in Storyline. I.E. I had the "é" which I replaced by "é".
P.S. You can test your special characters with this tool http://www.mauvecloud.net/charsets/CharCodeFinder.html
Hey there, Valentin. Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for that tip!
I'm having some trouble recreating the issue with accents in a new Storyline 360, Update 33 slide, during preview. Would you mind sharing a sample .story or PowerPoint file with me so I can take a closer look? You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link.
Excited to dig deeper!
