This is a known issue, and I have contacted our QA team for further exploration. I don't have any information to share in regards to a timeframe or a workaround, however, I will share any updates here in the forums.
Any updates on this? We're having the same trouble using Arial in the notes, and it's something our client has picked up on. Some of the text appears to be bold as well.
Hi, Jo - Have you installed the latest update just released, by chance? Please see here for info on Update 5. Also, please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. Otherwise, please feel free to share your file here and we can take a look.
Hi, Sam - Sorry for any confusion my reply to Jo may have caused. While this issue is not specifically mentioned in the Update 5 release notes, for troubleshooting purposes, I just thought I should mention it, as it may address some issues Jo or other users are seeing.
I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 8 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it improved the quality of notes text in published output. You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.

When I use Storyline to check for updates, I get this page which shows Update 7
