Storyline NOTES hyperlink question

Jan 18, 2013

When a hyperlink such as http://anything.com is entered in the notes area, Storyline will highlight it blue and underline it like a link.  The mouse cursor changes to a pointer over the link.  I have found no way to suppress the hypertext color or behavior.  It isn't an option.  It seems to be mandatory.

When the course is published and the NOTES are viewed with a browser, there is no indication of the text being an active hyperlink.  This makes me scratch my head as to why Storyline would go through the effort to apply the highlighting for developers to see.

Best case, I am missing some feature I have yet to figure out, or not-so-worst case, Storyline is just highlighting http:// to make it easier for developers to find hyperlinks in NOTES.

Hi Sam,

I'm certainly not one of the developers for the software, but I believe you hit the nail perfectly on your first evaluation of this. I believe this is simply to assist in the creation of projects. If your notes are robust, it's makes it easier to see where/if links are placed, but even in preview, you won't be able to actually visit the link.
