Storyline on Mac?
Mar 15, 2017
Hi everyone!
Does anyone here know if the latest Storyline is adapted to Mac? Meaning; not having to use e.g. parallels etc?
Me and my collegaues think Captivate is more advanced than necessary and is therefore considering to switch to Storyline from Captivate. But due to we work on Mac we would need Storyline to work perfectly, as it does on PC. And, most important of all: We don't want to waste a lot of money on the wrong program.
Anyone who knows if this works for sure or if it's still "unstable" for Mac?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Sandra

There is no Mac-native version of Storyline.
Hey Sandra!
You'll want to use a Windows virtual machine to install Storyline on a Mac. I personally use one since I do all of my work on a Mac, and I've had nothing but great experiences with it!
If you're using Parallels Desktop, see these video tutorials and best practices.
If you're using VMware Fusion, see these best practices.
Ok, thanks for responding!
Hi Alyssa!
Thanks for the info!
However, it looks like we will keep Captivate due to the extra cost of Parallels.
