Storyline, Oracle LMS, Java Security Warning
Jul 11, 2013
We have a client who has an Oracle LMS. When they try to view the Storyline files they are getting the following Security error:
"Application:API
Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern...The application contains both signed and unsigned code."
It's my understanding from reading through the forums that Articulate Studio didn't publish any Java in the output files. Could someone please confirm that this is also true for Storyline?
If this is true, does that mean that this Security Warning isn't resulting from the course itself? Any ideas what is causing it and what they should do to fix it? Has anyone else run across this issue before?
Many thanks to anyone who has knowledge or experience with this and can provide some insight.

Hi Meg! You are correct (check out #5 here)! So, you would need to contact your LMS. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
Thanks Leslie! This will definitely be helpful to keep in the back of my mind for future troubleshooting.
As it turned out, I believe that they had the launch link set to the index_lms.html file instead of the story.html file. I don't completely understand why that gave the Java security warning but we are good to go now.
Glad to hear it Meg! Thanks for the update and have a great day!
