Storyline Output Methods for Translations
Jan 12, 2017
Hey Everyone
Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction - if one exist.
I am new to the Articulate World, I've just recently started to use 360 and completed my first module. I created all material in English but I am required to have it translated to French.
I don't speak or write French so I have a translation services department and I'm trying to find a way I can output this to make it easy for them to work with. It seems like no matter what, the slides essentially output as a graphic and they can't copy/paste anything. I've even tried to output as a Word doc, but that just plops in pictures of the slides.
Is there a way to get the actual text of these slides over to translation services via an output method or 3rd party scraping software package? I'm trying to save some time - unfortunately there was no storyboard or anything prior to creating this project.
Hopefully you can help!
Thank you
-Kevan

Hello Kevan,
Have you tried exporting the original text from your Storyline project using File > Translation > Export? After exporting the text from your course, use the resulting Word document to translate it into other languages. Then when the translation is ready, you can import the Word document back into Storyline. Here are the detailed steps of that process.
Let me know if you have any further questions!
Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for Alyssa. I appreciate your help.
