I have a Storyline project that has been published to Articulate Online (http://uucme.articulate-online.com/7640783695). It looks beautiful in a standard browser, but when I go to test it on my iPad (as have other team members here), it appears to download and begin in the Articulate App but then when you try to advance/begin it crashes.
I did have the Articulate App box checked when I published the project to Articulate Online.
Can someone please help me troubleshoot why this project works in one platform but not the other?
I've encounter the same issue recently. Published with Storyline with approprate options checked, but on iPAD receive message: "....cannot download the content because one or more files cannot be found." Have doubled checked that all files are same. Earlier versions worked fine, and I haven't done any until recently. Tried different ones, but get same error. Have reviewd other resource links in the forum, but no resolution yet.
Sorry for the trouble you're having with the Mobile Player. If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at each of your files. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link so our support team can assist you further.
Hi, this has just started to happen with my most recent build, either accessing on the Internet, or trying to download it [on the iPad] to make it available offline. It 'ticks' for a few seconds, then the iPad app closes.
I'm in the process of uploading my story file to a support case as I type this.
I haven't been on here for a while and my inbox is inundated with elearning hero 'follow-up' emails and I have somehow missed the additions to this thread.
@ Kim, I communicated with Magnus via email, and he is convinced it is a memory issue with the iPad. I have a 64 GB iPad 2 and the AS app keeps crashing on my 'full size' project; however, it runs my published trial - stripped down - project.
I emailed him the link to the web version of my 45 MB published full-sized published project, and it worked his end. I believe he said he was using iPad 3; so it may be that version 1 and 2 simply don't have the memory for it.
This seems strange compared to purchasing apps of 700 MB+in size from the iStore as they have amazing graphics, interactions, videos, and so forth, yet they work fine, and rarely crash my system. However, I am no developer and as I do not understand the inner workings of this, would not deem to question why.
When I was at the point where my full size project did work on my iPad, I then added (inserted) a number of training videos to my project via a scene of help files which incorporates the videos, tabbed screens, lighbox screens and so on; this increased the uncompiled project file size from approx 84 MB to around 130 MB. Published, it went from 30 MB up to 45 MB - it was at this point, it stopped working in the AS app.
My trial version, which has 70% of the questions banks removed - but still has all the help and videos - works on the iPad2. The file size of this trial version is 32 MB.
I am now at the point where I'm trying to get all the extraneous items into place (website, sales pages, autoresponders, uni, exams, Christmas, proper work, etc.) before I then make the move to strip out all the help stuff , and make it web as opposed to app-based. I really would like this available on the iPad for my users, so will have to spend a few more days taking the above scenes out, setting it all up on the website and then go back and re-test the app once again. More wasted time - and there has been a HUGE amount of that with AS - but, sadly essential to getting a finished, useable project.

Hi Russ,
Sorry for the trouble you're experiencing. Did you get a chance to send us your file? If so, were you given a case number for me to follow up on?
It may also be worth uninstalling and reinstalling the Articulate Mobile Player app to see if that resolves the issue.
Thanks!
Hi All,
I also submitted a ticket some time ago and nothing ever came of it. The representative who was helping me said there wasn't a fix.
I'm wondering, Russ, if our content is similar and that's why we both encounter issues?
I have video, scrolling text box, and questions interspersed: http://uucme.articulate-online.com/p/7640771790/DocumentViewRouter.ashx?Cust=76407&DocumentID=0c5f1845-ec86-4c3b-8234-c9524ad91aa8&Popped=True&InitialPage=story.html
I also have shorter stories that are quiz-only that work fine in the Mobile Player App. Uninstalling and reinstalling the App did not result in a fix.
Thanks,
Kim
I've encoutner this issue as well and have pretty much given up on using the App. It's too unstable.
