The slide list on the left hand side is not the same as the real order of my slides in Storyline. How do I fix this and what did I do wrong to have this problem?
I've not seen the Sidebar menu behave in this manner, but I have noticed Slide titles "missing" from the menu if I move to the top bar of the player as a dropdown.
One thing you might check is your Story View (where you can see all the slides in your Scene). Sometimes when you're moving slides around, copying, pasting, etc. they'll be in order as viewed but the numbering will be all wonky.
To fix this just click and drag a slide to where it's supposed to be. A small blue arrow will appear just under the previous slide. When you see that, let go of your click. It should automatically re-number itself.

Sometimes this just happens when moving things around.
There is a "Reset menu" function, (see image below), which you can use to put everything back, and then start to manipulate the menu if you need to.

Ha! I've never noticed that little button! I've always reset the slides from Story View. Thanks for schooling us, Bruce!
Have to every once in awhile. Otherwise Trolls can get very cranky - especially those British ones!
