Where does this long-requested feature stand? It would be great if it was possible to export a single slide sequence or multiple slides as an mp4 file, complete with sound. Thank you.
We still don't have an option to include a published output in a single file such as an MP4. Our team does not announce timelines or the status of feature requests, but you're welcome to share your thoughts here.
I submitted my thoughts using your link above. Last weekend I had to add Captivate to my arsenal just for this purpose. I think you may be putting your base product at risk by not offering this feature, particularly as the LMS market continues to evolve.
Thanks Stacy for sending along the request - I do know a lot of users record a published presentation using another instance of Storyline or Replay, and then export to MP4 or publish to MP4 respectively.
Hey Ashley, thanks for that. I found that losing a generation resulted in some fuzziness of images that I couldn't work around - particularly for a marketing effort - but I can see how this might work for other things.
Certainly understand if the quality isn't what you're expecting/looking for. Hopefully if others have ideas on ways to work within the set up they'll be able to share here.
Provided you just want to play the presentation as a video and not have any user interactions it can be done. I'm using storyline 2. First publish your project and open the published version ready to start on screen. Now create a new project and on the 'Insert' tab select 'record screen'. Play your project. Once your recording is complete, choose 'Insert as single slide' from the options. Now publish this project with a new name. In the storyline folder that it creates, go to the 'Story Contents' folder. In there, there will be an MP4 (usually the biggest one) which is your video. Hope this helps. You can also record audio etc and have that included in the output
Ha! Then what nights do you get to stay up late and have some fun? Glad that method helped you out Kevin - with Storyline it seems there is always something to learn!

Thanks Kevin - and even one step before that if you insert a screen recording as a single slide, you can export out the video as an MP4.
Every day is a school day. That sounds even better than my workaround :)
