Storyline repeatedly crashing

This is related to an issue I posted last week, but figured I'd start fresh with a new topic.
I'm using Storyline 1. A file I was working with was crashing constantly, so I did the following:
- ran the install file for Storyline and chose the Repair option.
- deleted the file I was working on and recreated it.
It's still crashing repeatedly. My computer meets all the system requirements and I'm working off my hard drive rather than a network drive.
Most of the crashes seem to happen when I go to another application, such as Word or my e-mail, after clicking the small Play button to preview the content of a slide.

I see where you were working with Christie here.
