Storyline result recording problem

Sep 11, 2015

Hello everybody,

I have used Articulate Online for one year and all this year I’ve had a problem with results recording at the AO system. When a user had finished a test and left it the AO system didn’t recorded the result or it recorded absolutely wrong result (e.g. 30% instead of 100%). I asked AO support team several times to solve the problem but without success. They were not able even to explain what the reasons of such problem were.

That’s why from the 1st of September we transferred all our e-learning content to another system based on Moodle platform. But I have realized the same problem. The user finished the tests and didn’t see any results. In other words i got the same problem with SL tests.

Do you have any assumptions what’s wrong with SL tests? Have ever you met the same problems with e-tests?

This is a huge problem as we are permanently testing our team and distributors and many of them are very upset because of such fact. I ask them to make printscreen of the result slide in order to prove their test results. But this is very inconveniet.

 Hope for your help, guys.

I can add that the new tech. team that supports the new Moodle platform is not able to solve the problem or even answer what is wrong with the tests.

HI Mikhail,

Moodle provides a built-in SCORM debugger:

https://docs.moodle.org/en/SCORM_FAQ#Debugging

If you enable that (don't do it for all users on your production site) and then reproduce the issues you should be able to see where the 30% score is being passed.

If the behaviour doesn't occur on the SCORM cloud that Leslie mentions above and you are using a certified Moodle Partner to provide your Moodle system they can engage me directly to help you with this - just ask them to get in touch with me. If you aren't using a certified Moodle Partner feel free to get in touch directly and I can provide details on our rates.
