Storyline running very slowly

Hi friends,

I've been attempting to run Articulate Storyline off a laptop for the past while and the software has been incredibly slow. Loading up a project takes close to a minute and even simple tasks such as switching between slides and resizing an image are just as unresponsive.

For the record, this is the laptop that I am using:

I don't think it's in issue with the specs as they are above the recommended values for Storyline.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good Afternoon, Mr. Saturn.

Always save and publish to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external (USB) drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.

If the problem persists, please take a look at this article for some additional troubleshooting ideas.

If the issue continues, I'd like to see your DxDiag log:

  1. Press Win (Windows Key) + R
  2. Type in dxdiag in the text area of the popup
  3. Press enter, and if prompted about verifying WHQL, select Yes.
  4. Wait for the green bar to finish loading.
  5. Click on “Save All Information” and save the file to your Desktop.
  6. Attach the log file to your next thread reply, or send it to us privately here.

Dear Justin,

I have the same problem of Mr Satrun. I try the cleaning...and all the things recommended by support team.

I just realized that my CPU is 1.9 Gz and not "Gz as I see that is the minimum requirement  for SL2.

Do you think I can go back to SL1, that is very slow as well.

(the project I'm working on is 300 mb.

 Here the DxDiag.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there, Cecilia.

Your machine seems to exceed our system requirements, although you may want to consider updating your video drivers.

If the problem persists and you are already saving and publishing to your local hard drive (and have already tried the article recommended above), I would recommend sending us a copy of your .story project file for a closer look.  Thanks!
