Storyline Screen Recording a Virtual Machine

I'm using Storyline to record a system that exists inside of a virtual machine (windows server). Although Storyline picks up mouse and typing actions seamlessly within its own operating system, once the recordings are inside a VM things get weird. The mouse clicks are still recorded, albeit erratically, but the intelligence behind them is gone. This is not a big deal, as you can edit the text boxes, hot spots, mouse movements, etc. However, it records NO text entry. The text just appears between one slide and another.

My questions are: can this feature be added in a subsequent version? And in the meantime, is there a way to fake/include these typing actions post-record for both View AND Try recordings?
