Storyline SDK

May 02, 2014

I came across this article in ASTD today:

http://www.astd.org/Publications/Blogs/Learning-Technologies-Blog/2013/11/Toolbox-Tip-Two-New-Releases-from-Popular-Authoring-Tools

Without getting too technical, can you explain this to me?  More importantly, do your recommend taking any action?

It goes on to say:

SDK stands for Software Development Kit, and it enables programmers (true programmers) to customize some of the features of the software. For example, it will now be possible to create custom player interfaces—more so than what’s available in the Player dialog box.

You can download the SDK yourself for free and start coding, or you can wait for some of the e-learning “support” companies like eLearningBrothers to create new player skins or widgets that you can purchase.
