So, I'm mentioning this issue again after 5 years since the first post.

My issue is with the built-in drag and reorder (Sequence) and I'm stuck with a teal light blue color.

I found other threads and I'm giving up, but I posted the issue in other threads too, since people subscribed to each thread can let us know if they have found tricks or if anyone knows if this can be fixed by articulate.

When I think of a work around, I realize that this color is not magically appearing (it seems like it), so in the published files, there has to be a variable or place where this color is being set on roll-over.  If this is true, then wouldn't be easy for Articulate to connect that to the "control 1" of the theme colors?

It's been 5 years since this was first posted, so maybe my thought that was realized when trying to make a work around will help Articulate't team realize this may be a super super easy fix, considering there are many posts and responses to posts, and all of the people that don't bother writing a response or making a new post.

Here is an image of my issue.

Hi Kyle

I haven't tested it but for SL360 the theme colour to change is Custom 2 not Control 1

  • Custom 2 is the default color for check box styles 3 and 4 as well as radio button styles 3 and 4. It’s also the hover color for drag items, drop-down questions, and Likert scale questions.

I changed all of the colors a 10th time thinking I did something wrong, and I did a test from a brand new test only storyline file.

Here is a PEEK example -- https://360.articulate.com/review/content/e6b6c9bf-1187-4a07-84c0-15b20be001db/review

I'm attaching a screenshot and

I'm attaching the Storyline file that has the Drag and Drop Sequence QUIZ - Plus I tried the Drop-down Quiz, that you mentioned should work in Storyline 360, and that too did not work.

...has this ever been resolved or answered (I can not find) - I am in Articulate 360 and still same is as previous versions - I do not want Cyan as background color for drop-downs in questions (it is messing with my course feng shui) - changing control 1 and 2 do nothing, I see no color option in the player to edit this and nothing on the master to change- I am using the default clean question layout.... and the content library has nothing for drop-downs so can't try that either - helpppppp - thanks!

Hi Mike,

We're seeing a problem with the Custom 2 hover color in a Sequence Drag and Drop interaction when you're viewing the HTML5 output. The Flash output works normally, though.

Now that you're subscribed to this thread, you'll be notified immediately when we share new information about this bug. Thanks for letting us know you ran into this, and I'm sorry it's causing you headaches!

Hey everyone,

I have some great news!
We just released another update for Storyline 360, and included a few important fixes and new features that you'll see in the release notes here

This update fixes the issue where the hover color for drag items and drop-down questions was always blue in HTML5 output, even if you customized it in your theme colors.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.

Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly!

Great news, folks!

As Alyssa promised above ☺️ I'm really excited to let you know that we just released update 3 for Storyline 3! You can view all the new features and fixes here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where customized hover color for drag items and drop-down questions would not show in the published HTML5 output.

Here’s where you can download and install the latest version of Storyline 3. Let us know if you have any questions!
