We use Sharepoint here and there is talk of it completely replacing network drives. We do not have access to the C drive as it is so I publish to my private network area (this does work although I know people recommend C:!), the idea is this will be replaced by My Site in sharepoint.
I just need clarification that the proposed soloution can't work for me and I have to retain at least some form of network drive for the publishing stage.

You're welcome to test your proposed scenario. However, my expectation is that the further you move away from creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses on your local hard drive, the higher the likelihood that file corruption will occur.
