Storyline shows error message while Publishing & Maximum Size of file in Articulate Storyline 3 ?

Jul 03, 2019

Hi all,

I have tried to publish a SL file of about 1.4GB size but I encountered an error saying, "We are sorry, something went wrong with Articulate Storyline and it might close".

My system have a 16GB RAM with 64bit OS running on Windows 10. I made sure that I have enough space in my C Drive and I have even allocated virtual memory.

It would be of great help if someone tell me, what can be the maximum size of an Articulate StoryLine file be and what should possibly be the reason for this error?

Thanks,

 Sruthi

I am not sure with the maximum file size that Storyline allows but you can do these things in trying to reduce the file size of your project:

- Optimize the photos you used. Keep those photos in the smallest possible size and if possible, use JPG photo format instead. Also, crop photos if possible.

- Break down your large project into smaller projects.

I hope this helps in reducing the size of your file. You can also try restarting your computer before publishing the file - that may help too.

Hello Sruthi and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

We do not have a suggested maximum file size.
