Storyline Slide View - Contains Shadow - Offset Text

Nov 26, 2012

When opening Storyline and creating a new project, or importing an old project from PPT/Presenter, the slide view within Storyline is skewed and contains a shadow. I do not have any additional layers, but I cannot type into the slide directly or insert any objects without the view being skewed.

The final Preview looks correct but this is driving me insane.

Anyone else experience the same issue? One other person, out of 5, that have downloaded Storyline in my company is experiencing.

See attached.

Hi Ashley,

I see that you've posted about this previously, here. However, I wasn't able to find a support case for the issue. I'm sorry to see that you're still experiencing this problem, lets see if we can resolve it for you.

Since it's only yourself and one other person that's experiencing the issue, I wonder if it might be a setting on the machines. Have you checked the DPI settings on the machine?

Here's some more information:

Storyline will function as expected when Windows is set to 96 DPI (dots per inch).

Storyline does not currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:

*  Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.

*  Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.

*  Zoomed images don't work as expected.

Here's how you can switch to 96 DPI.

Try that out and let me know if it helps. Thanks!
