Storyline slow to open on Win7

When I launch storyline on my Win7 machine, it seems to be taking longer and longer to launch (like, pushing 5 mins).  This is just opening the basic app...I'm not launching it from a file location.

I have seen much older stories here listing the same kind of issue, but those were mostly to deal with launching files from network locations.

Any ideas?  It makes using the tool a real chore.  My workaround is to leave it running then lock the computer at night, but it still takes a long time to open .story files.

Suffice it to say, computer performance is not necessarily the issue.  The machine launches other apps with no problem.

I'm open to suggestions...
