Storyline substracts .5 on resume
May 27, 2019
Hello everyone!
I just noticed strange things happening. Attached the simple source file to take a look. The misbehavior is:
1) Launch the course;
2) Press the ADD button - the variable onscreen changes to 2,5 as it should;
3) Click Next to go to the slide 2 (the onscreen variable still shows 2,5 as it should);
4) Press F5 to reload the course and click Resume to return to the place you left off;
5) The onscreen variable shows 2. Where is my .5 gone? :)
I have a project with a lot of floating comma variables and this behavior messes the things up...
Could you please advise?
Thank you in advance

Hi Andrey,
Thanks for bringing this up. We’re seeing the same problem on our side. We’ve got this logged as a software bug, and we’ll keep you posted on our progress with it. If anything changes, we'll let you know!
Hi Alyssa!
Thank you for your feedback!
By the way, I also have Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 installed (yes, I am an old fan of Storyline) and I can reproduce same issue on 1 and 2 as well.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, Andrey. I'll be sure to add that to our bug report. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!
Hi Andrey,
I am happy to share that we just released the newest version of Storyline 360 (Build 3.36.21213.0) this morning! With this release, we fixed the issue where adjusted number variables with decimal values were being reset to their default values when resuming a course.
The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline 360.
As always, we are happy to answer any questions you have by posting in this discussion, or you can contact our Support Engineers directly here.
