storyline survey data?
Apr 24, 2013
I'm new to database info and how Storyline uses SCORM so this is a simple question that i need clarification on...
If i create a storyline template with choices for the viewer to click and choose, can I capture that data in a database automatically, for review later so that i can see what my viewers are interested in?
my website visitors don't like filling out long surveys....who does???.....so I'm thinking about creating a short, fun/educating storyline project that gives multiple choices to the viewer that allows me to gather similar data but not in the form of an "official survey"
Can the choices my viewers choose be automatically added to the database when they make the choice......even if they did not finish going thru the storyline presentation completely?
or would they have to go completely thru the project, and end it for the data to be sent and added to my database?
sorry for the simple questions....as you can tell I don't have much knowledge of how storyline works with scorm.
thanks for your help

Hi John!
You can track that kind of information using an LMS - do you currently have one, or are you interested in finding one?
Alternatively, you could insert a third-party survey application as a web object, like Survey Monkey or a Google Docs, to help store the results.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the help....
I don't have an LMS.
I am interested in finding an LMS!
I'll start to learn about the alternatives like Survey Monkey and Google Docs.
