Storyline tracking in LMS
Mar 12, 2018
Hi there,
I have imported Storyline 360 (SCORM 2004, 4th ed) into LMS (Canvas) and I set up the tracking as Completed/Incomplete since I would like to track slide views (if all 15 have been viewed) and have this report back to LMS.
So far when I test this and only view a couple of slides the Gradebook has a x which indicates all slides have not been viewed.
Is there a way when the student returns to the slides and views all slides the x turns into a tick in the Gradebook as it does for a Rise course?

Hi Dearne,
I don't know much about Canvas, but hopefully, others here in the community know how to modify those settings.
Also, have you reached out to your Canvas admin to see if there is a setting you can change?
Thanks for your reply Ashley.
I thought it may be a Storyline setting I'm missing as I'm having no trouble with importing Rise as a SCORM pkg?
Hi Dearne,
What happens with the Storyline course in Canvas once the user has seen all the slides? It sounds like you've used the same settings in your Storyline course as your Rise course, and therefore I'd think that they would behave the same way.
If Canvas isn't reading the data Storyline is sending, especially on the second attempt, that sounds more like a Canvas setting. You could look at enabling LMS debug mode, as that would allow you to see the data that Storyline is passing Canvas.
But the change from an X to a checkmark is something specific to Canvas.
