Storyline Translation Export Error

When I try to export the translation document I get the following "blank" error message. I am not working over a network. I have asked several of my coworkers to export the translation document and they all get the same error. I have also gone back to an older version of the same course and I get the same error.
EDIT: I just opened other courses, same error. Coworker opened a course of hers that I've never touched. Same Error.
I'm on version Update 5 1401.2415 on Windows 8, 64bit.

Have you got Word already open when you try this?
No. Word is not open, nor is any other Office Programs. (Office 2013 FWIW)

Thanks, Already did that extensively before coming here. Googling the error message would be a piece of cake - unfortunately there is no error message. Just a blank dialog box. So i'm stuck with nothing to research.

Any final word on this bug. The thread above does not seem to make a definitive case and clearing all my internet settings as a POSSIBLE solution is not a very appetizing.

I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 8 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it fixed an issue where exporting text to a Word doc for translation wouldn't always work. You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.

Hi all, I'm having this exact problem (blank error message) when exporting in PRESENTER '13 Update 8.
I have no Office documents opened except for the PPT. I tried naming the saved file into "a" and save it in C: but to no avail. Any other tips?
Thanks for reaching out here, Calvin. Would you be able to create an Articulate Presenter package to share with us here? That way we'll be able to look at what occurs when going through the export process. Can you also confirm that you're working on local project files and that you're following the steps here to export for translation?
Is there a way I can send it privately? it's also about 13MB.
hmmm... on the other hand, publishing it first fixed it. It's been a long time since I last published it so that may be the cause.
my issue has been fixed by publishing the course first.
