awesome.. i'll go uninstall.. i thought uninstalling was only required for those with OCD
Hi Helene
The uninstaller is built into the update, so you shouldn't have to do it manually. Will you please let our support guys know if you continue having trouble with the update? Thanks!

Peter, is that a new feature?
If so I stand corrected.
Always been advised to uninstall before, (or so I thought).
Thanks for the info.. i am writing the support guys right now.. oddly when i DID try (or rather my lan admin tried.. since we don't have admin rights on our own pc's where i work) to uninstall the old version first.. i got the same exact thing..
it said it was going to install.. one tiny sliver of the progress bar showed up.. and that was it.. no error no nothing..
given that the uninstall is built in to the update.. that would make sense that i get the same result with both.

Sorry for the trouble, Helene. Our guys will be happy to get you up-and-running.
After downloading the update, I was starting a 30 day trial when I launched SL again. Then had to insert my serial number, and then register with name/address/company name etc...

Was this supposed to happen?
Yep. As part of the new installer, we uninstall the software (which deactivates it) and then install the new version, which requires reactivation.
The new export for translation feature is awesome! Our training always has to be offered in 8 different languages and this new export/import feature will make that so much easier. Articulate is the best company I have seen for responding to their customer's needs and continually providing the best products for e-learning. Thank you again for this great update.
Now I just have to hope that Plateau will offer Tincan functionality.

Thanks for the kind words, Brent It doesn't hurt that our customers have awesome ideas!
This white paper provides technical information to help LMS developers implement the Tin Can API to fully support Articulate content. Hope it helps.

Oki cool Was afraid I had done something wrong hehe...I'm becoming my mom, totally unreasonable fear of computers!
Good news! Is this update enhancements only or does it include bug fixes too?
This update comes with some nice Enhancements and a bunch or weird and wonderful new Bugs!!! particularly if you want to copy and paste step-by-step screen recordings.
We are aware of an issue in Update 1 when copying / importing / duplicating screen recordings that we are hard at work on getting fixed for our next build. If you encounter an issue when copying / importing / duplicating screen recording slides, we have put together a few viable workarounds here and here. I apologize for any inconvenience, but this will be fixed in our soon-to-be-released next update. Thanks for your patience!
