I have contacted Articulate support and they said they are aware of the issue from others reporting it too and that they are working on a 'hotfix' update.
Fixed: Some courses wouldn't preview or publish after installing the previous update. Fixed: Storyline would crash when publishing on some computers with non-English system locales.

I just tested several projects and previewed slide, scene and projects with no issue. I took the upgrade yesterday afternoon.
I am not having this problem. When I saw your post I definitely checked! Did your issue get resolved?
It crashed on 2/3 projects I tested it on. So I'm not sure if everyone will have the same issues!

We are having the same problem on two machines, both running Windows 7.
Play/preview slide, preview project and publish. None of it works.

I'm sorry publishing is failing after installing the latest update. I know that's frustrating.
We found the problem and are working to fix it right away. I'll let you know as soon as the hotfix is ready.

We can't preview without crashing. Some of our files won't even open.

To get the fix, just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

There is an issue with fonts even after the hotfix.
For example, Raleway does not display properly in the preview.
After a restart fonts are back to normal. Win 10 64bit. Thanks for the update and fast turnaround.
