Storyline 3 will open files created in Storyline 1 or 2. When it does, the program asks if you want it to upgrade the file. Just click Yes, and it'll create a backup of the original file (just in case you want to keep an old version) and a new, upgraded file. It's as simple as that.
Thanks for the reply. I had forgotten how to upgrade a course because it has been so long that I need to do so. We have had issues with some courses and Adobe Flash for some time. I hope after upgrading the "problem" courses to Storyline 3 we won't be dealing with it any more.

it is recommended by Articulate that you do a staged approach to upgrade so with a SL1 file upgrade to SL2 then 3 or 360.
