Storyline Variables, Layers, and the Next Button

Hi All,
I have created a course that contains several layers on several of the slides. I have created variables to stop the learner from clicking the Next button, until all layers are viewed - until all variables = true. I have tested the course and it allows me to go thru just fine. But other times I have a slide get stuck and not allow me to advance forward when clicking next, despite I have visited each layer. Each layer contains audio and button within the layer to advance forward. Only the last layer requests the learner to click Next. Any thoughts

You might consider sharing your .story file with the forum as that's the best way others can help you debug your issue. The Add Attachment button in the post forum here works great for this purpose
Hi Kenya
if your menu is set to 'restricted' you won't be able to advance until the timeline ends
Menu? Is this within the course or on each base layer? And if not restricted what should it be?

No it's set up in the player see this tutorial for information.
It may not be that and uploading your story file like Brian suggested can help folk help you.
