Storyline Video-issue of inserting object on timeline

Nov 20, 2015

I have had this issue for months and am very frustrated.  Articulate tells me nothing is wrong when I send them the file.   Every time I use Video mode and try to stop the timeline to insert, it does not show me the correct spot on the video. It goes back to the overall video picture.

Anyone, have any idea how to fix it?  It used to work about 2 years ago.

Hi Kim!

Looks like I just responded to you here and now I see you mention that you've worked with our support team before on this issue.

The last response that I see from John:

I understand that you are editing your objects on the timeline.

Unfortunately, using the pause button will pause the timeline but will only show the starting frame of the slide once paused.

I recommend that you use cue points in order to easily adjust the timing of your objects on the timeline. You can play your timeline and press spacebar on your keyboard or click on the pause button to stop the timeline from moving. You can then right click on the timeline and add a cue point. Please see the article below for more information:

Did utilizing cue points not work for you?

Using cue points does not help me. I want to insert arrows etc.... when there are zoomed areas.
