I developed a storyline project with some triggers which execute javascript function, when I published the project into a web output and put it in My Documents folder or Desktop in my local PC, it was working just fine and every triggers with javasript can be executed.
But when I published the same project and save the web output to C: drive or Public Document folder in my local PC so it can be shared between users, triggers with javascript will not run the javascript functions.
Have anyone faced the same issue before?
Do you guys have any input or suggestion so I can make this work?
javascript was not designed to run locally, you can publish to CD and use the exe file no guarantee really dependent on browser security and which browser they use.
May be better to upload to dropbox public folder and send a link.
JS should also run locally when the index_html5.html file is launched. The Flash player blocks interaction between the player and the browser by default to "protect the user from evil". Running the EXE in a CD publish should fix it up.
Thank you, your explanation is really helpful, that was why the program never get into the js file while I debugged it using web console, because of the interaction block "from evil". Now I have tried and created CD output and not it is working well.
