Storyline went terriblly wrong for me
today. it starts with When I click on different layers, they wont show up, and the
base layer disappears.
and then I restarted my computer only to
find out I can't see the slides at all but a grey blank window.
I tried different files (previous
versions) and they have the same problems. So I think it is the issue with the
software.
When I click on the grey area, an error shows up.
Does anyone see this problem before? Please help.

Your first screenshot shows closed eyes on the layers. If you can get the file to open again, try clicking on the little eyes to unhide the layers.

First, can you make sure you're running the most recent version of Storyline, Update 2?
Once you've confirmed you're running the most up to date software, please be sure you're working locally.
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
