We are trying to build a wikipedia like page in Storyline. Little more context... we have 4 definitions that are presented to the user and we would like them to type each into the main search box (data entry box) and using states, variables and triggers, when the user types in the definition and hits a go button, we would like to display that correlating definition. When the user mistypes the term into the search box, they would get a state or layer alert stating they must check the spelling and try again.
Question is, how we would do this? Use text or data entry box? true/false variables or something else with conditions?
It sounds like an interesting concept, although I'm not totally clear on how you'd want it to be set up. Do you have an example slide you could share with the community so that we could get a better idea what your goal is?

This sounds like an interesting idea and I would be interested in learning more about how to do this.
Hi Samuel,

Also, Craig - welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
You would need a trigger for every word and a trigger for the misspelling
Dave Anderson got back to me with these great tips via a tutorial! Enjoy

Thanks Samuel for sharing that! Glad he was able to help you.
Great question, Sam. Phil's right about using a variable for each term.
I posted a little more about this project in our community blogs. I also updated the template a bit.
Hi Samuel,
Try the attached file to see if this is what you want. The search keywords are: Bird, Mammals, Human and Fish.
