Hi. Having received a shiny new MacBook pro for Xmas, I am very excited to start using Storyline with windows 8 and parallels 8. My first attempt seems to be problematic. I opened a .story file and it looks normal in story view, however when you click into view a slide, it is all distorted. Examples below- the first shot is the slide in Story View, the second when you click into the slide. I have already tried a reinstall of Storyline. Any advice from people already working this way. My old PC feels like an abacus now!
I have a similar problem with Windows 8 and Storyline. When I make the text/items smaller Storyline works normal - but with small text/icons etc. Now I have the additional problem that Windows will not make text/items smaller and thus Storyline is not working.
Could you maybe explain more in detail how you solved your problem?
I has no problem when I had a preview version of Windows 8, but this changed when I upgraded.

Also, when you preview the slide, it's even crazier. The poor characters head is no longer attached to her body!
Solved my own problem! Was a problem with the display resolution in Windows 8 (don't ask me why). Up and running.

Hi Simon,
Have you checked to make sure you're running 96 DPI on the Windows side?
Storyline will function as expected when Windows is set to 96 DPI (dots per inch).
Storyline doesn't currently support 120 DPI. If your system is set to 120 DPI, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
* Zoomed images don't work as expected.
* Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.
Here's how you can switch to 96 DPI:
