Strange behaviour with navigation from a quiz slide in certain browsers

Jun 07, 2018

We are experiencing a really strange bug with a client. When we test the course here in the company - both in preview mode and uploaded to an LMS (Docebo) - it all works perfect.

But, when the client's users run the course, most of them experience an issue where a quiz slide jumps back to a slide maybe 4-5 slides previous to the quiz slide. Again, it only happens for some. The client also hosts the course in Docebo LMS. So I am thinking it might be a browser issue, but they seem to use 2 browsers (Internet Explorer version 11 and Google Chrome version 63). Both are apparently buggy. So it is really strange and I don't know where to test or fix the issue.

I have tested the correct and wrong slide layers as well. All actions are ok. And everything works here.

Anyone have an idea what can be causing this? I am really lost at this moment. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rene!  You're absolutely right - that's a baffling situation!  I'm sorry that you're stuck with troubleshooting.  Let's see where I can help...

It sounds like you were able to narrow down to users who access the course mainly with those browsers.  We support our output on the latest build of Google Chrome (which is now 66), so it's worth mentioning to your client to see if they can update that environment.

If your client has certain users who can consistently get the behavior to happen, see if they can take a screencast of their actions start to finish.  There are free screen recording tools available to make that easier for them.  At the least, have them document exactly what they're doing and where they're clicking so we can narrow our focus.

We can always have a look at your file, too, to make sure there isn't anything we can spot.  It doesn't seem like a file issue since the course runs smoothly on your end, but we'll help anyway you need!
