Strange Exclamation Mark in Preview Mode

Jun 04, 2014

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help? I have a slide that I set to work with simple triggers whereby the user clicks on a radio button and a new layer appears. However, in preview mode, I find that I am not able to view it any more. I click on a radio button and get this:

Would anyone have any insights? When it is published, it works fine.

Thanks!

Jane

Hi Roberto and welcome to Heroes!

I'm sorry to hear about the odd behavior you've experienced, and you mentioned it only occurred within your published output in your LMS so I'm curious to see if you've reviewed the troubleshooting steps here specifically for tracking/reporting issues in your LMS? I'd suggest testing the course at SCORM Cloud as mentioned which is an industry standard for testing SCORM content and you can also test AICC content there by following these directions.

Please let us know if the course behavior continues at SCORM Cloud and then we'll want to take a look at your .story file.

Hi Roberto,

My apologies, I may have misread your original post and thought you were only seeing it at the LMS. If you're seeing this while viewing the preview of your course as well, can you share a bit more information with us about the following:

Please let us know if you can fill us in on that information and we'd also be happy to take a look at your .story file?

Thanks Roberto for the update - and when possible you'll always want to use the newest update. You can set Storyline up to check for new updates when they're available.

First, you'll need to open the Options window by doing this:

  1. Click the Articulate button in the upper-left corner of the Storyline window.
  2. Click Storyline Options.
  3. The Storyline Options window appears, where you can set or change the following options.

  4. Use the top section of the window to indicate your preferences for general Storyline options:

  5. Check for updates at startup: If you leave this box checked and if you're connected to the internet when you launch Storyline, the program will automatically check to see if updates are available.

Hope that helps and if you need anything else please let us know.
