Struggleing with Results slide
Feb 21, 2014
I have two pages with 10 options on each which users can prick from. There is no right or wrong answer as it is about identifying their skills. On the results page I would like it to display a list of the skills they selected they had.
I am really struggling with the right variables to input and identifying the name of each result option.
So far I have used the pick many option and a survey results slide. Any help or advice would be really appreciated. i am quite new to Articulate as you can probably tell!
Thanks
Emma

Hi Emma, there are several different ways you can do this. I've attached one example for you to play with. In this example I only have 10 skills (5 per page) and have only set it up so that the skills on the first page work. I created a unique true/false variable for each skill and named them still1, skill2, skill3 etc., but you can name them anything you want.
I then set up the pages by adding the text and checkboxes. I set it so that all the options are correct and turned off the feedback options.
I then set up a bunch of triggers on the submit button to change variables to true when the user clicks the submit button if the corresponding the button is selected when user clicks the submit button. Note I didn't use a results slide at all. I just set up a regular page with all the skills hidden and then set up triggers to display them if their corresponding variables are true.
There might be a nicer way to set up the last page but it does the trick.
Hi Nancy
Thanks you so much for this, really helpful to see exactly how the variables and states are set, my head was swimming from it!
Much appreciated
Emma
