I would like to display the contents of a text variable in a textbox (no problem).
I would then like students to be able to select the text, copy it and paste it in a text entry box where they can modify it. The problem that I encountered is that the students cannot select the text in the textbox (and so cannot copy it and paste it). Is there a way of doing this?
Not sure if this will work for you, but I remembered that Super Hero Nancy Woinoski had answered a similar question here. Perhaps it will help to get you started if Meryem's solution won't work.

Perhaps you could do this in a web object such as a google doc or google form.
