I have a quiz with unlimited attempts for each question. There is the initial player layers of Try Again, Incorrect and Correct. I have noticed that on the first attempt the Try Again layer has the SUBMIT button disabled. But when the following attempts are also incorrect, the Incorrect and my additional layer - Review- the SUBMIT button is no longer disabled. It is active. These feedback layers should act the same as the initial Try Again layer and have the SUBMIT button disabled. I can find no way to change the status of the SUBMIT button on these additional attempts to disabled when the layers are open.
Is this another of StoryLine's bugs? Or is there a setting I am missing for the SUBMIT button? I have attached a sample
I took a peek into your file, and all you'll want to do is add a few triggers to ensure the Submit button is disabled for all of the feedback layers.
Be sure all layers (except for the Correct layer) have this trigger:
Also, the settings of the Review layer were set to "Hide objects on base layer." Because of that, the Submit button wasn't accessible. All you need to do here is remove the setting for "Hide objects on base layer," and add a white rectangle to the background to cover the objects on the base layer.
I made all of those changes to the attached file. Take a look and let me know if this works for you!
