Success Criteria - Scoring Learning Interactions THROUGHOUT course

Jun 13, 2017

We have been successful in launching courses through our LMS that base success on scored learning interactions throughout the course.

HOWEVER, if users close out before completion we still want them to be able to resume where they left off.  We use our typical'prompt to resume' settings (including 'When running in LMS, ignore Flash cookie').  Our result is premature final scores and marked completed in the LMS.

Is there a way around this?  Is it possible to be able to score based on learning interactions throughout the course, while still allowing users the ability to resume where they left off?

Hi Michele,

What LMS are you using? Storyline is continually sending data to the LMS throughout the course, and it'll be up to the LMS h ow that's interpreted. If you're tracking by a results slide or total number of slides viewed that's the completion element and what should be communicated to the LMS To mark as complete (or passed depending on language you chose at publish).

Have you looked at testing it in SCORM Cloud? It's a standard for testing LMS output, and bonus - it's free. These directions will walk you through how to give it a try there.
