SUPER URGENT HELP NEEDED - My Storyline Project has changed language!

Feb 08, 2018

Help required please!!

I'm due to send a Storyline project to a client today, although, every slide appears to have changed in language!

I completed the latest update yesterday and since then all of my projects have changed.

I've tried all of the standard preference options (via Storyline > file> Storyline Options and also the Articulate desktop app window > Preferences > Languages) but nothing is fixing the issue.

I also emailed Articulate support yesterday and heard nothing back.

When I'm editing the slides I can still see everything in English, the issue is only when I preview the slides or project. I can't see anything within the player settings that is incorrect. The text settings in player are definitely set to English.

Examples attached. I don't know what else to check, can anyone help please??

Thank you!

Hi Susi,

I tried to publish it and it looks the same once published;

I've opened up heaps of other projects that were working and publishing fine last week, now they're all showing this unusual language.

I'm using Futura Light and Bebas Neue. So they're perhaps not standard fonts but have always worked perfectly before??

Hi Kymberleigh,

Really smart to open a support case--that's the best way to get help for these kinds of bugs. Would you mind attaching your original (unpublished) file to your case by clicking here?

Also, do you notice a difference if you turn off Modern Text? Go to the Design tab, click the Fonts drop-down list, and uncheck Use Modern Text

Let me know if that makes a difference!

Hi Alyssa,

Wow, you solved it, thank you! It was actually the other way around though. My modern text appeared to be switched off, as soon as I ticked it everything went back to normal!

When I completed the recent update, perhaps for some reason the settings changed?

I'm so pleased, it was driving me mad! haha.

Much appreciated,

Kymberleigh
