Survey/Assessment with private results
Aug 06, 2015
I am starting work on a Storyline module that will include a self-assessment type survey for the user to complete. The user will see a results slide that is specific to the answers they provide. A concern has come up that users may worry about confidentiality of their answers, as this course will eventually be made available to employees of a company through their LMS. I know there is an option to change the tracking used by the LMS to slides viewed, instead of tracking quiz results. If I choose the "slides viewed" option, does this mean that the quiz results are unavailable to the LMS? Or would they still be reported/visible to those with access to the LMS? How have others dealt with questions of confidentiality/privacy in e-learning modules?

Hi Nick,
You can only report one method to the LMS - so either the total number of slides viewed or the completion based on the quiz results. The answers though are likely only visible to those with admin rights - but that is dependent on your LMS so I'd defer to them for specifics.
