Switching Between Two Color Palettes Dynamically Within One Course

Jul 15, 2022

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is possible but I wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone has any ideas... I am currently trying to build a course that is fully accessible and 508 compliant-- and in doing this, I want to make the module adaptable for anyone, so that they can customize their own experience.

Part of this would be having the option to view the entire course using one main color palette/theme, but then ALSO providing a high-contrast option for those with visual impairment, to view the same course with a high-contrast color palette/theme.

Is there any way anybody can think of to do this? Basically, the course would start with a default color theme, but if the learner clicked a button saying they need to view the course at a higher contrast, it would switch to a secondary color palette and automatically change all the elements within the course to be high-contrast. I know you can sort of already do this by adjusting the display settings of your device, but I thought it would be a really cool feature to add within the SL course itself.

The first slide could offer two starting options, one to your current version, call it SCENE 1 in the tree., and the other option to a complete separate copy in SCENE 2.  There, adjust everything to high-contrast, whatever you have in mind.  You still have full control of the look of the new scene.
